This was a 2-year A/V systems renovation project that was conducted in two phases, on very tight time schedules. The first phase included relocating the press box and all associated areas, from the third level to the seventh level of the stadium. This part required the identification, labeling, and protection of all cabling and equipment during construction. The relocation and extension of cabling, the installation of new fiber backbone and network cabling, and the installation of a large number of video displays, loudspeakers, and related equipment were complex, but we were still able to maintain the project schedule. We also renovated the Saints’ locker room, interview room, and several adjacent areas, with new audio and video components. The first phase was completed in time for the 2010 NFL season.
The second phase of the project included the renovation of the lower seating structure, and the addition of new bunker clubs under the seating areas. This phase also included the installation of new video displays and more than 250 new loudspeakers. The second phase was completed on time and ready for the 2011 NFL season.
This was a very time-intensive, schedule-constrained project. All Pro Sound project management worked hand in hand with the general contractor, the electrical contractor, and the owner to complete the project ahead of schedule while exceeding expectations.
