Matthews UMC’s worship space is quite unique. During the week, it’s used as a gymnasium, but on the weekends, it’s completely transformed into a contemporary place of worship.
The project was featured in Church Production Magazine where we were recognized for our design and installation efforts and the systems ease of setup and breakdown.
We designed and installed audio, IMAG, lighting, and truss systems in the gym and also provided a sound system, monitors, and digital signage in the facility’s common area.
The sound system in the gym includes EAW speakers and subwoofers and QSC speakers and amplifiers for stage monitoring. Classic audio components were also included such as Shure microphone systems, an Anchor Audio intercom system, and a Behringer digital mixing console system. The commons area was equipped with Community ceiling speakers and flat-panel displays for monitors and
digital signage.
An IMAG video system, which operates from a portable FOH location, was installed with three custom Da-Lite screens and Panasonic 7,000 ANSI lumens projectors. For broadcasting capabilities, two Panasonic manned-cameras operate through a Blackmagic Broadcast ATEM 1 video switcher. The FOH location also runs Jands Vista software for the elaborate lighting components, which use an assortment of conventional, LED, and moving lights.
