Highland Park Baptist Church

Highland Park Baptist Church is located in the heart of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Muscle Shoals is the area where many well-known artists such as Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones have recorded their albums.

For over a year, All Pro Sound worked closely with the church and the architect, Cosco & Associates throughout the design phase, which included acoustical, structural, electrical, and mechanical guidance and expertise. We designed and installed audio, IMAG and broadcast video, lighting, environmental projection, and truss systems throughout
the facility.

The church blends a band with a choir, so it was important to equip the worship space with quality wireless mics, in-ear monitors, and a digital mixing console. Since the worship space is so large, three projector screens were installed with feed capabilities from ProPresenter, cameras, and the ArKaos Media Server. For broadcast video capabilities, two 4K Blackmagic cameras and three Panasonic PTZ cameras were installed.

An environmental projection system was implemented by use of the ArKaos Media Server (controlled via the Jands Vista L5 lighting console) and two Panasonic projectors. The media server can play back on six simultaneous surfaces. The lighting system includes theatrical lighting, an assortment of dimmer channels, LED light fixtures, and light boxes below each of the three screens. The extensive truss system includes the main light units for theatrical fixtures above the audience, downstage, and the upstage area for backlighting.
